Junior Data Analyst
About The Role:
We are looking for a junior Data Analyst who will play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. You’ll be working in a brand new Data & Analytics (D&A) team at Orange Line, collaborating with other teams across the company delivering a range of data-driven projects such as web analytics audit and implementations, website tracking fixes, dashboard/reporting creation, technical data
strategy/integration projects, and beyond.
Your insights and problem solving will support key business objectives for our clients (in industries such as ecommerce, finance, healthcare, etc.) and help shape their marketing strategies moving forward. This is a new role in a growing team, giving you the opportunity to expand our D&A offering, gain more clients, and grow the department from the ground up. Perfect for a candidate who enjoys the breadth of responsibility in a
start-up environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the D&A Lead with statistical analysis, regression analysis, hypotheses testing, data visualisation, reporting and all technical implementation projects.
- Understanding abstract business needs as well as business analysis metrics across digital marketing.
- Managing website analytics tracking for a range of clients on a BAU basis and providing emergency investigations and fixes when problems arise.
- Developing and running queries for client databases.
- Support and implement the data and analytics strategy: Help establish the vision for data and its value as a business asset by defining and leading data and analytics specific strategy practices to deliver business outcomes.
- Ensure effective data and analytics governance and quality: Support and implement the data and analytics governance and quality initiatives including the oversight of relevant policies and managing compliance.
- Enable the organisation to have absolute confidence in the reliability of data used to make decisions that may impact on the health and safety of our clients.
- Champion the use of data throughout the organisation, empowering employees to make data-driven decisions.
- Drive innovation by identifying new data sources and technologies to support business innovation.
- Manage data platforms and tools, ensuring they meet organisational requirements and industry best practices.
- Oversee risk management related to data quality, interoperability, and security.
About you:
- STEM degree with preference for Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or similar
- Skilled in programming languages such as Python, SQL, Javascript (proficient in at least one)
- Hard working, curious and proactive
- Enthusiasm for learning and growth
- Logical and analytical approach to problem solving
- Strong data analysis skills
- Content working independently and as part of a team
- Ability to think outside of the box, adapt to change quickly and work well with ambiguity
- GTM, GA4 and Looker Studio experience is desirable but not necessary
- Take pride in your work and care about the people around you
